MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

So many great things to share this morning--we vintage holiday collectors sure do keep busy(!). First up, we bring you Christmas Greetings from The Big Four in 1923: Mary Pickford, Charlie Chaplin, D.W. Griffith and Douglas Fairbanks. That's followed by one our favorite "little loggies" from Howard Lamey of littleglitterhouses.com--then there's a great shot of actress Gloria Swanson (who lived for a time in Croton) decorating her Christmas tree, 1921. And finally the cream of the crop---Howard Lamey's version of Downton Abbey--or rather UPTON ABBEY. His most detailed project to date. Click on the photos and enjoy.

FROM TOYS AND STUFF: Memories of Easter Past: If Christmas brings back memories of trees and presents, then Easter brings back memories of Easter baskets and eggs (and candy!). In our family my mother would load up a large Easter basket (commercially made - not hand-made) full of candy, colored hard-boiled eggs, and a small toy and hide it somewhere in the house.
