MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

Thought you'd enjoy this glass plate negative of the St. Patrick's Day Parade in New York City, 1915. Click on the photo.

Interesting vintage putz house photos have been posted over at the forums; we love finding new details:

We all know how expensive those antique/vintage tin flats a.k.a. lead flats a.k.a. zinnfiguren can be--to see them used to great effect, visit the outstanding 2013 Christmas putz mantle of Antoinette Stockenberg http://www.antoinettestockenberg.com/Putz2013.htm -- and so we are always looking for little or similar things to populate our putz villages.

Scrapbooking brads--with the clips removed--just may provide an acceptable alternative. Check out this site for miniature animals, vintage cars and more:

We love the website known as Silvercrow Creations but it's a little cumbersome to navigate; so we're delighted to tell you that they are selling some of their inventory on ETSY now--and it's much easier to get around--you'll find lots of inspiration and little, unusual things too https://www.etsy.com/shop/SilverCrow?ref=ss_profile

  1. No wonder those celestial toppers go for a fortune when you can find them

  2. When I had an apartment, I kept one on a microphone stand that I turned on whenever I was practicing or just chilling and listening to music. Watching the little colored Ms migrate around the room was quite relaxing.
