MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

A recent posting over at Toys & Stuff featuring a terrific Texaco Tow Truck from First Gear (see http://bit.ly/NSUduO) reminded us about this 1950's Texaco ad to the right from the archives. Texaco ads often featured the ubiquitous Fire Dog a.k.a. Dalmatian in multiples! Click on the photos--also included is....

As some of you know all too well, we've had a LOT of snow lately--and for die-hard Christmas collectors and winter-holics--it's been heaven; it's also Eagle season and they have been out there in abundance (see photos from our annual Eaglefest here http://www.everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2014/02/photos-from-2014-eaglefest.html)

Anyway...neither rain nor snow nor sleet stops the intrepid estate sale hunters, Rob and Monica: click on the link for their more recent finds, including a mid-century modern starburst doorbell, lots of vintage Christmas, Tiki too! Just keep scrolling down the page once you get there - we think the putz house artisans just might be inspired to create a "Chinese Restaurant"! http://www.ouradventuresamongsttheducks.blogspot.com/2014/02/a-break-in-snow.html

A reader contacted Everything Croton asking for help in identifying some old Christmas lights. We highly recommend this invaluable resource lovingly restored by Paul Race from the original archive: http://www.oldchristmastreelights.com/
