As some of you know, Papa Ted passed away on Monday of this
week after a long illness.
In his honor, we’ve finally organized nearly all the vintage made
in Japan and reproduction putz houses being made today photos into a set at
Flickr, something Ted encouraged often--way back when--but we never had the time to do. One of
the more enjoyable post-Hurricane Sandy clean-up tasks. Click on the link http://www.flickr.com/photos/22283683@N07/sets/72157631907205966/with/3855479537/ And see Papa Ted's legacy here: http://cardboardchristmas.com/papateds/index.htm

ReplyDeleteA sometimes cantakerous but thoroughly knowledgeable guy on the subject of Christmas putz villages. He was always very very helpful to me. RIP Ted. Dina Pescal
ReplyDeleteWhen you think of all the time and years spent making that history, wow. What a legacy.
ReplyDeleteNow that Chirstmas is coming around I was going to work again on my cardboard houses and needed windows. I went to Papa Ted's Place and sadly found that Papa Ted was no longer with us. Is the site still active to purchase the paper windows? I'm hoping so because there is no other place that makes them. It would certainly be a tribute to all his work in continuing his site and products. My sincere condolences to his family.
