FROM THE MAILBOX

A reader remembers a "kind of a doll repair shop" in the Upper Village but not much else....can we help?

Reponse: You can only mean PAT VALLAINCOURT; go to EverythingCroton: VINTAGE CROTON ADS, 1990'S, PAT VAILLANCOURT DOLLS

A reader seeks a certain noise report for the train station area....

Response: It is believed, from the description provided, that reader wants this report from 2024---we have had requests for it before: A technical Environmental Monitoring Report for Croton Point confirmed that diesel engines produce frequency peaks between 20 Hz and 100 Hz, with elevated noise levels noted during nighttime yard activity. Good luck in your additional research. You might try reaching out to the NO NOISE PEOPLE as well EverythingCroton: TRAIN NOISE

A reader remembers the cutest little jewelry and gift shop in the Upper Village named Tidbits?????

Response: You more than likely mean TRINKETS---Phil and Valerie Candella were the owners. It closed some years ago. Click here to see a photo of the shop at Christmas 2013.
