Since Croton resident Eric Kyu was arrested by FBI agents in August of last year at his residence on Observatory Drive and charged with possession of child pornography, the Chronicle has reported on the case intermittently and somewhat reluctantly. Although we did not break the story, no other news media have followed the progress of the case since the arrest. That has left it to the Chronicle—what some call Croton’s “hyperlocal” media outlet—to make the decisions about when to provide updates to the community.
