Gray tapped into the strip's popularity with a number of licensed products and endorsements.  Click on the image for the "Little Orphan Annie ‘Some Swell Sweater’" Pin back Button, 1928, 1.25”.  The pin was given away with the purchase of her licensed sweater.  It's also the first year "Annie" was involved in any product endorsements--and comes to us courtesy again of SERIOUSTOYZ.

Next up, a battered but happy find for a friend at the 2014 Asbury Methodist Spring tag sale.  The book Little Orphan Annie and Chizzler by Harold Gray was published in 1933. It was part of the Big Little Book series released by Whitman Publishing Company, known for adapting popular comic strips into compact illustrated books for children. This particular volume captured Annie’s adventures with the character Chizzler.
