CROTON SENIORS CLUB BRAVES THE ELEMENTS AT THE SENASQUA PAVILION... AGAIN

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

The Croton Seniors Club met outside for the second time this month, the wind howled down from the North and the hardy group of 35 tried to stay warm in the sun.  The Community room is unavailable due to the ongoing five million dollar police expansion and bathroom renovations.  The seniors have struggled this summer without support from the village as a result of a 60% budget cut from approximately $73K to $38K.  There were no bus trips or special events and the club has tried to stay viable but just meeting for coffee and cake is not enough and has hurt the morale of the club.  They hope for promised village support by October 1.

Fortunately Bob Anderson and Linda McChain led the group with some stretching exercises which helped the group warm up.  The coffee pot was emptied early as you can see in one of the pictures. Click on the photos.
