CROTON FIRE DEPT---FACEBOOK PAGE--WATER RESCUE REVIEW

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship---in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Last night, members participated in a Water Rescue Review Drill at Harmon Firehouse. Led by Assistant Chief Munson, we reviewed our district’s many bodies of water, our equipment, every member’s role at a water rescue incident, initial actions, forming a rescue plan, how to throw a rescue rope and more.  Our district is almost surrounded by water - we respond to incidents involving the Hudson River, Croton River, Croton Dam, Croton Reservoir and a number of ponds and lakes. Because of this, we train for water-related emergencies and have personnel certified for Water Rescues.
