FROM THE EVERYTHING CROTON MAILBOX, GIRLS SPORTS

The blog continues to receive numerous comments and questions regarding the "school districts sports policy on trans-gender athletes" competing in "girls sports", scholarship issues, etc. especially in light of the recent Associated Press article.

Once again, all questions about such policies should be addressed to whatever "school district' is being referred to. That is the best way to obtain the most up-to-date information.

If, however, anyone comes across a verifiable link where this policy---addressing this specific issue--can be found--at any of the area's assorted school districts--that will be posted here.

(Sorry but your editor is also unaware of how this affects "religious schools").

Here is the link to the Associated Press via the Washington Times article.  Good luck.

The U.S. Education Department's Office for Civil Rights has found a Connecticut policy that allows transgender athletes to compete in girls sports is illegal. The office says the policy violates Title IX, the federal civil rights law that guarantees equal education opportunities for women, including in athletics. (AP Photo/Pat Eaton-Robb) ** FILE **

    1. No but since it was found to be illegal, there's bound to be something online. Good luck.
