LAWRENCE LIEBS HAS DIED, SERVICE INFO

December 27, 1950 – January 7, 2020

Lawrence Henry Liebs of Croton on Hudson passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the age of 69. Lawrence was born to Harold and Jessica (Silverman) Liebs on December 27, 1950 in New York, NY. He is survived by his wife of many years, Marcy Sharon Cohen.

Lawrence managed the cleanup of various superfund and other hazardous waste sites mainly in NYC and New England during his long and successful environmental engineering career running the environmental affairs group at the Brooklyn Union Gas Company and its successors and as a consultant at GEI. He was also instrumental in preserving natural habitats in the local area including the park at Croton Landing. He was an avid historian, excellent guitar player, mentor and trusted advisor to many, and most recently very skilled at creating sculptures on 3d printers. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 10 -11:30am at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton on Hudson, NY. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday also at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home at 11:30am immediately following the visitation. Burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
