NEW FROM OUR FRIENDS AT EUROPEAN FILM STAR POSTCARDS: American stage and film actress Virginia Valli (1895–1968) was an established star at Universal during the mid 1920s. She worked with such directors as John Ford, King Vidor, Howard Hawks and the young Alfred Hitchcock. Her motion picture career had started in 1915 at the Chicago-based Selig Polyscope Company and lasted until the beginning of the sound film era of the early 1930s.
