COURTESY OF CROTON UNITED, PHOTOS, CROTON CARVEL'S 1ST EVER EASTER EGG HUNT

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

As many of you know, Croton Carvel is owned by Croton residents, Dana Lynn Alessi and Salvatore Alessi. On Sunday 4/2/17, they had their first Easter Egg Hunt—and it was a smashing success—with over 230 eggs “found”! Click on the photos below, courtesy of Croton United, to see the pre-egg hunt preparations.  For more about Croton Carvel, visit https://www.facebook.com/Croton-Carvel-149074451811249/

And...UPDATED: THIS EVENT WAS SO SUCCESSFUL,  CARVEL IS HAVING A PART TWO EGG HUNT ON PALM SUNDAY, AT 3 PM THRU 6 PM; THIS TIME THEY'VE BROUGHT IN 300 EGGS!

AND...A NEW FLAVOR FROM CROTON CARVEL: COOKIE BUTTER! Check out the photos and video http://bit.ly/2mL91fO

And fyi: New edible image cakes also available at Croton Carvel (24 Old Albany Post RD Croton On Hudson NY 10520)---using the latest digital tech https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100013016077483&pnref=story

And as you also know, Everything Croton is all about the nostalgia sometimes--and your editor is happy to report that you will still be able to find a FUDGIE THE WHALE at Croton Carvel. (Click on the photo!) Fudgie the Whale was usually promoted around Father's Day, using the slogan, "For a whale of a dad."  READ MORE ABOUT HIS HISTORY HERE https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fudgie_the_Whale

  1. I like seeing these traditions being kept alive between the businesses and the Knights of Columbus.
