A LETTER FROM CROTON UNITED'S BOB ANDERSON: THE EXPLOSION OF DEBT UNDER THE WIEGMAN DEMS

Please take a moment to read an important letter from Bob Anderson, Croton United candidate for Trustee.

Please note the following facts:

THE EXPLOSION OF DEBT UNDER THE WIEGMAN DEMS

Mr. Anderson's letter was published in the 9/24/15 edition of THE GAZETTE.

To the Editor, I was surprised that in his letter last week, Croton Dems Chair Paul Rolnick did not offer an apology to Croton taxpayers for writing one of three separate letters to this paper falsely claiming that Croton’s bond rating had improved under the Wiegman administration (the other two were from candidate Andy Levitt and Trustee Brian Pugh). My statement that the Wiegman Dems misled the voters regarding the village’s bond rating is not an accusation; it’s a fact.

Rolnick is right that there are “challenges ahead,” but the most urgent and important challenge will be dealing with the financial consequences of his party’s explosion in borrowing. Croton United’s plan to end the profligate borrowing of the Wiegman Dems and to bring sustainable fiscal management back to the village is a true positive vision for the future of Croton. 1. Sheesh. Really hits home doesn't it. Meanwhile in my house, I have to decide between replacing the dishwasher or the dryer. Can't do both in the same year. Thanks Bob A.

  3. A few of these expenses are for important things like water, the rest not so much. But it's like anything else in life. In our family, the new car had to wait two years, the new roof couldn't wait. since we can't afford vacations any more we thought about an inground pool but settled for an above ground instead which was much cheaper. My wife would have liked a new dress for a party. She opted to borrow a friend's instead. It's about priorities for us and it should be that way in our local government too. Thank you Bob Anderson.
