DIANNE'S 2013 VINTAGE CHRISTMAS PUTZ HOUSE VILLAGE & MORE

Vintage made in Japan putz house collector Dianne has forwarded some photos of her 2013 Christmas display--click on the photo.

As always,  we're impressed at how she gets around the issues of visiting grandchildren and cats (smile) strategically placing her collection in cabinets and other tucked away places. There are some outstanding specimens here and you can see it all, including close-ups, at this slideshow: Click on the link http://www.flickr.com/photos/22283683@N07/sets/72157639108270254/show/with/11600369246/

Or see it as individual photos here--click on each to see a bigger image http://www.flickr.com/photos/22283683@N07/sets/72157639108270254/

  1. With a new puppy in the house, our tree is smaller this year and placed on a sideboard buffet which left little room for a village. Like Dianne, I put the entire display, with battery operated lights, in the china hutch. of course, everything in the hutch was sent to the garage for the season and that was a pain but the village looks great. I may do it this way every year. It just goes to show you that you can find room for villages if you think outside of the box. A friend uses her living room bookcase. Linda

    1. I had to start using the bookcase built-ins years ago when we got a dog. Now I can't think of setting up a village any other way. I'll try to send some pictures. Great collection of old houses by the way. Thank you Dianne and EverythingCroton for sharing them
