Yesterday, the British Office of Communications (Ofcom) issued its report on an incident in May that was not covered very thoroughly in the former Colonies across the pond. The U.K. radio station Radio Caroline had aired three pre-recorded statements during “The Barry Marsh Show” announcing that King Charles had died. He hadn’t died. Nevertheless, the third statement said “news media” had confirmed that the King was dead. “God Save the King” was then played, the announcement was repeated, and there were 16 minutes of dead air. Many of us are not on social media but we often get to hear about it and are sometimes sent screenshots---just going to address this issue because the commentary IS....WELL....ODD.....

****Some outrageous claims, memes, and news stories that don't seem to have verifiable links---are still being made about cyclosporiasis out there....

 Addressing just a few here with appropriate sources---of course you should do your own due diligence and of course, if you have a trusted medical person in your life, do reach out.....This is from Google AI which has been highly reliable with verifiable links......

------NO, no one has died from cyclosporiasis in the Hudson Valley or anywhere in New York State. While social media rumors have amplified panic, the only two reported fatalities nationwide occurred in Michigan, and both individuals suffered from severe, underlying health complications. The New York State Department of Health confirms that cyclosporiasis is an uncomfortable gastrointestinal illness causing watery diarrhea, but it is highly treatable and generally not life-threatening. In fact, the Hudson Valley has largely been spared from the worst of the surge. The vast majority of New York's cases are concentrated within the five boroughs of New York City. [1, 2]  Statewide Numbers: The New York State Department of Health reports 833 cases statewide between May 1 and August 3, 2026. And from a national perspective: The nationwide total has surpassed 18,000 confirmed or suspected cases, heavily concentrated in the Midwest. Michigan alone has faced over 12,000 cases. 

AND PLEASE NOTE: New York Impact: Federal and state health agencies indicate there is no direct evidence that this specific contaminated Mexican lettuce shipment disrupted the local New York supply chain. However, regional grocery stores have pulled several packaged salad mixes and foods out of an abundance of caution. [1, 3, 4]

SHERIDAN GORMAN IN THE NEWS---FAMILY KNOWS THE HORROR OF "SANCTUARY LAWS" BUT GOV. HOCHUL...

On the morning of March 19, three police officers knocked on a door in Yorktown Heights and delivered the worst news any parent can receive.

Sheridan Gorman, an 18-year-old Yorktown High School graduate and a freshman at Loyola University Chicago, was shot and killed while walking with friends.The man charged with her murder was an illegal immigrant who was detained at the border and then released.

He was then arrested in Chicago and released again. Then he failed to appear in court.

Sheridan’s mother, Jessica, put it plainly: a 10-second phone call from local police to ICE could have saved her daughter’s life.

After a tragedy like this, you’d think Democrats in Albany would ask what went wrong and how we can prevent it from happening again.  Instead, Gov. Kathy Hochul and the Democrats in the Legislature doubled down.
