An armed man, said to be creeping around and monitoring “security-planning activities,” was arrested Sunday with a pistol and ammunition outside Trump National Golf Course Los Angeles — just two days before the president’s visit to the very same location.
Jeanine John Taele, 38, from Downey, Calif., was taken into custody outside the Rancho Palos Verdes site by sheriff’s deputies after federal agents first spotted him lurking in the area, taking photos and videos, and monitoring security-planning activities, law enforcement said. Seven plate readers, bought with a $30,000 village bond plus $9,716 in Rekor license fees, feed a Westchester County database that a class action asks a judge to shut down. The county says its 536 fixed cameras include devices it manages but does not own, and we estimate most were bought by towns like Croton. No village voted on where the pictures go. The lawsuit says no legislature authorized the system at all. The county has to answer by August 31.

The 28-year-old US Army staff sergeant from Queens was killed on July 17, 2026, in an Iranian missile attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan where she was stationed as part of Operation Inherent Resolve, the campaign against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
