As many of you know, the village board and staff are currently engaged in holding work sessions to discuss various aspects of the 2014-2015 village budget.
WHILE THE BUDGET IS ONLINE, the 2014-15 payroll/fringe benefits documents/analysis however, is not online; I submitted (3/22), as did Virginia Calcutti seperately, a
freedom of information request for this information;
this was also necessary for residents last year.
Mrs. Calcutti has received a response; see below. Click on the scans. You will note however, that UNLIKE LAST YEAR, the village has chosen to REDACT--i.e. BLACK OUT--the medical and dental benefits portion.
We do not know at this time under what provision of/exception under the Freedom of Information law, the village is using to keep this public information from the public this year. They will be asked. For some time, the board and its officials have been severely criticized by residents on the issue of benefits, fringes, etc.
