St. Augustine’s Church invites everyone to three nights of talks by three Brothers. Three Dominican Friars will be coming to St. Augustine Church, 381 N. Highland Ave., Ossining, for a three-night series of informal talks called “What You Didn’t Learn in Catholic School”. The event will take place from 7-8:30 pm in the Parish Hall Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, March 9-11. The brothers want to talk with everyone ~ both churchgoers and people who haven’t set foot in a church in many years; so plan to come, but plan to bring someone else too ~ someone who doesn’t come to church. This will be an easy and fun way to help people find joy in Christ.

US, ISRAEL LAUNCH OPERATION EPIC FURY, ATTACK ON IRAN AFTER REGIME REFUSED TO SCRAP NUCLEAR PROGRAM

The US and Israel launched airstrikes against Iran Saturday morning in response to the regime’s refusal to dismantle its nuclear program after weeks of negotiations.

The attacks — which the Department of War called “Operation Epic Fury” — follow a massive US military buildup in the Middle East and come after President Trump repeatedly warned Tehran that it would face consequences if it didn’t make a deal with the US.

Iran then launched missiles towards Israel in a retaliatory attack as officials claimed the response would be “crushing.”

“Our objective is to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime,” Trump said in an eight-minute video address on Saturday...MORE AT The president had given the Iranian officials a 10-15 day deadline to reach an agreement on a nuclear deal on Feb. 19, asserting the regime would face “really bad things” if it didn’t.

RUGBY, SIX NATIONS, IRELAND IN HISTORIC VICTORY AGAINST ENGLAND

With all the hoopla about the Olympics---both the Men's and Women's Hockey victories in particular---followed by the State of the Union---and other local happenings---we almost forgot how much we love Rugby! And the Six Nations. 

Ireland has achieved a historic victory in the Six Nations against England, with a record points total of 42-21. This match took place at Allianz Stadium in Twickenham on February 21, 2026. Ireland's performance was marked by a first-half blitz that put them ahead 22-0, with key tries from Jamison Gibson-Park, Rob Baloucoune, and Tommy O'Brien. The match was a complete outplay by Ireland, who managed to control the contest from the start and maintained their lead throughout. England's attempts to recover were met with a series of errors, including kicking and set-piece failures, which allowed Ireland to secure the win. This victory is a significant achievement for Ireland, as it marks their highest-ever points tally and margin of victory in the Six Nations

Visit historic structures, plaques and markers where history happened!

Pick up a free copy of Revolutionary Westchester 250’s map and guide at your local Westchester County library.

The map features descriptions of more than 50 sites in Westchester and the Bronx (which was the southern portion of Westchester until the late 1800s). The project was made possible by volunteer work, private donations and support from New York State and Westchester County.

Please join the Village of Croton-on-Hudson and Sullivan Architecture for a public information meeting on Gouveia Park. During the meeting, the history of the property will be reviewed, followed by an overview of the work that has been undertaken to date.
