SCAMS, PHISHING ALERTS

***REPORTS OF SCAMMERS, PANHANDLERS DRESSED AS "HANDMAIDENS" ALLEGEDLY COLLECTING FOR "LOCAL FOOD PANTRY" AND SOME SORT OF "STOP TRUMP" endeavor yesterday at Foodtown....... THIS DID NOT LOOK LEGITIMATE but as always do you your own due diligence should you encounter these folks.  One reader said she attempted to get the name of the food pantry being collected for and the alleged "STOP TRUMP" initiative and was "brushed off". YONKERS TIMES--CALLING ALL INDEPENDENT AND UNDECIDED VOTERS--LAWLER GETS PROBLEM SOLVER SEAL FROM NO LABELS

No Labels awarded its Problem Solver Seal to U.S. Representative Mike Lawler (NY-17), recognizing his record of working across party lines and his willingness to pursue bipartisan solutions to the country’s challenges.

The Problem Solver Seal recognizes leaders committed to putting country over party, championing commonsense two-party solutions, and engaging regularly in No Labels-hosted bipartisan meetings. It reflects a belief that effective government depends on leaders who can build trust across political differences and turn common ground into action. It is a designation—not a formal party endorsement—awarded to political candidates and elected officials who commit to working across the aisle and supporting No Labels’ national agenda.  MORE AT Calling All Independent and Undecided Voters in NY-17-Lawler Gets Problem Solver Seal from No Labels | Yonkers Times

ANOTHER NYC PERIL - OVER 20 MOPED-RIDING CHAIN SNATCHINGS HAVE HIT NYC SINCE SEPTEMBER -- INCLUDING AN ATTACK WHERE AN NYPD DETECTIVE WAS STABBED 10 TIMES

Crews of motorized bike-riding thieves — some of them illegal migrant gang-bangers — are terrorizing New York City, viciously snatching thousands of dollars in jewelry from the necks of unsuspecting cops and civilians alike, The Post has learned. There have been more than 20 motorized bike chain-snatchings since September, with at least 10 of them turning violent, according to the NYPD — and police sources say that’s just a drop in the bucket. This schedule will be repeated, weather and time permitting, as the leaves accumulate and the conditions warrant. ONEIDA AVE CLINTON ST WAYNE ST YOUNG AVE This document is intended to provide an ESTIMATED schedule for leaf pickup. Actual dates depend on factors beyond the Village's control. HASTINGS AVE PENFIELD AVE DEVON AVE WHELAN AVE In an effort to follow the proposed schedule, DPW crews will often "jump ahead" to the next pickup area when time allows. SATURDAY SOCIAL MEDIA---SCHOOL STUFF, BLAKEMAN, DISMAL NY PUBLIC SCHOOL RANKINGS, IDEA COMMITTEE BACKLASH, ETC.

Not going to spend a fine Saturday wrapped in social media political angst or performance theatre, but encapsulating the school chatter in a nutshell:

---Republican Bruce Blakeman on Friday ripped Gov. Kathy Hochul for New York students’ dismal test scores under her watch. Lots of applause for his hammering of Hochul over the numbers.

---Lots of talk about the Croton.News site---and this post: Croton-Harmon accepts audit as student data sharpens curriculum plans — Croton-on-Hudson, NY

---Lots of talk about the school continuing to liaison with the IDEA Committee under the present scandal; much chatter about the lack of an SRO.

---Much support among the parents for Pete Tsagarakis of the diner; much support for the Jessica Dieckman and Paul Steinberg Gazette letters. It seems quite a few parents have had enough of being expected to "sing in the choir"--and their children as well.....what happens next is anyone's guess especially if this goes federal...

SARCONE, PATRONE, FIVE NON-CITIZENS ARRESTED FOR VOTER FRAUD ACROSS THE NORTHERN DISTRICT

On October 13 and 14, 2026, Vikki Bradt, age 51, a British National, of Ballston Spa, NY, Samantha Merkle, age 55, a British National of Glens Falls, NY, Suad Sasic, age 30, a Bosnian National of Clifton Park, NY, Jacques Patry, age 64, a Canadian National of Tupper Lake, NY, and Paula Stitt, age 57, a Canadian National of Albany, NY, appeared on charges of voting by aliens. All defendants are lawful permanent residents. First Assistant United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III and Anthony Patrone, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Buffalo Field Office of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) made the announcement.

The complaints against all five defendants allege that they are aliens, who knew they were not United States citizens and that they knowingly voted in an election held in part for the purpose of electing a candidate for President, Vice President, Member of the United States Senate, or Member of the United States House of Representatives......First Assistant United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III stated, “the law is clear that only U.S. citizens can vote in elections that have candidates running for federal office. When non-citizens vote, the public loses confidence in the integrity of the election process and its outcome. Our office, working with our federal law enforcement partners, will work tirelessly to prosecute those who should not have voted, but did. Just this week, our office filed charges against five individuals, all of whom were non-citizens and unlawfully voted in federal elections within the last few years.”

"The integrity of lawful voting and government processes is essential to maintaining public confidence in our institutions," said Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Buffalo Acting Special Agent in Charge Anthony J. Patrone."  MORE AT Northern District of New York | Five Non-Citizens Arrested for Voter Fraud Across the Northern District | United States Department of Justice

The Village attorney is allegedly reviewing it all. And we imagine quite a few others as well.
