PUTNAM COUNTY- A busy stretch of Route 9 at the Putnam-Westchester border was closed to traffic for several hours on Friday following a three-vehicle accident involving a garbage truck......State Police Public Information Officer Trooper Krystal Paolicelli said the crash was allegedly caused when a Toyota sedan driven J.P. Cordermoya, 26, of Poughkeepsie, that was traveling southbound, crossed over the double yellow line and collided with a northbound trash truck, operated by Brian Cortes, 33, of New Rochelle.
