Hungarian-born American competition swimmer and actor Johnny Weissmuller (1904-1984) is best known for playing Tarzan in films of the 1930s and 1940s. Weissmuller was one of the world's fastest swimmers in the 1920s, winning five Olympic gold medals for swimming and one bronze medal for water polo. REMEMBERING THE RED BARON

A.K.A. Rittmeister Baron Manfred von Richthofen who died this date in 1918.  

Widely known as the Red Baron, he was a German fighter pilot with the Imperial German Army Air Service during the First World War. He is considered the "ace of aces" being officially credited with 80 air combat victories, regarded as a national hero in Germany, and was respected and admired even by his enemies.
