MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

As always, some special requests, fabulous finds, oldies but goodies, and much more. Click on the links and photos.

First up, from Blumchen, a rare and outstanding LARGE DRESDEN, MADE IN W. GERMANY, 1986, FORD MODEL T 1908----while supplies last of course.

Wouldn't this look fabulous among your larger putz houses or in a Christmas scene. Yes it's pricey but....simply outstanding.

Find it here.

That's followed by a very interesting European paper modeling site we found called Stahlhart.

The "Buildings" section, while limited, is definitely worth a visit. Go here for that.

And finally, a wonderful Flickr photo album---OF over 1850 vintage Barbie images---from Cubby a.k.a. INMYJAMMIESINTX---OF THE MOST WHIMSICAL, RARE, CLOTHING ACCESSORITES, BARBIES, ETC.

A RARE TREAT: Reviving An Abandoned Model Train---AND IT'S CLOCKWORK!

This video showcases a streamline model train produced by JEP for Unis France before 1940, likely between 1932-1939. It is a 120 type / 0 gauge model that originally featured an electro system in the tender, with a full electric motor. The restoration process reveals each part was completely seized and rusted.
During an electrolytic bath, the spring broke, resulting in a slightly less powerful motor. The restoration took a couple of days to bring this pre-war clockwork back to life. Watch until the end to see this antique locomotive in action! The model's dark brown chocolate color is not the original but closely resembles it.  GO TO Reviving An Abandoned Model Train | Watch
