A reader is a big fan of the British television series--CALL THE MIDWIFE. For those who don't know, Call the Midwife is a BBC period drama series about a group of nurse midwives working in the East End of London in the late 1950s and 1960s. FAST FORWARD to the annual request: if there were any photos a "local midwife business" that dressed in character from the BCC series and "marched in a Summerfest parade".

Indeed there are! JOURNEY TO BIRTH MIDWIFERY was based in the Upper Village; one of the midwives was Susan Schmidt, the wife of former mayor Dr. Gregory Schmidt.
