That way, he's assured of Medical/Dental coverage for 4 years. That amounts to around $84,000. Following that or earlier, the Board may try to get Trustees included in the same benefits that the mayor has claimed for himself. Let's not forget that work expands to fill the time available. Another point to consider is that no one knows whether the mayor's time involves useful work for the Village. If he talks on the phone, some of the time may involve useless conversation about the "good old days" or complaints from irate citizens which he tends to ignore. These calls should have been answered by or referred to the Village Manager (that's why we have one). In the real world, your time produces something useful besides chit-chat or you get fired. Now that's an idea to ponder!. However, it doesn't help unless you get your thoughts out to as many residents as possible. Please, please come to a Board meeting. Write to the Gazette. Bob Wintermeier, Dan and Winn Chesnard, Joel Gingold and I need your help. It is my belief that Mayor Weigman is no longer effective as a leader in our Village. It appears that he is on the road for personal gain.

Ginny Calcutti Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-787750143375798683.post-17085246149941695412014-04-23T06:52:25.236-04:002014-04-23T06:52:25.236-04:00Fantastic idea!Fantastic idea!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-787750143375798683.post-29437388370605243432014-04-22T20:19:53.628-04:002014-04-22T20:19:53.628-04:00How about a referendum which limits the mayor to w...How about a referendum which limits the mayor to working no more than 25 hours a week.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-787750143375798683.post-87734673638225691302014-04-22T19:58:24.190-04:002014-04-22T19:58:24.190-04:00Amen. If an "employee" filed a claim and the insurer - as is their right - audited the company records, the claim would be declined, and the employer reimbursed for the premiums they had paid for their "employee." Because - he's not entitled to the coverage! Isn't the annual mayor salary $5,000? Are we to presume Mayor Wiegman has two fulltime jobs, and the mayor's job pays him roughly $3.31 an hour? I assume a 48 week year, 31.5 hours a week. Hey! the mayor is working for less than minimum wage!!!
