Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
SAVE THE DATE: Asbury Methodist Church will celebrate its annual HISTORIC SUNDAY on August 20th at 10 am in the Bethel Chapel. Summer Sunday services in August (Including Labor Day weekend) will also be held at this location.
For those who don't know, the Bethel Chapel is surrounded by the historic Bethel Cemetery (click on the photo). It was built in the early 1790's on land donated by Phillip Van Cortlandt. The chapel and cemetery are listed on the NYS Register of Historic Places and in the National Registry. On Historic Sunday, many church members dress up in period costume and hold a "historically driven" service.
