MEMPHIS MAE'S IN CROTON MAKES WESTCHESTER MAGAZINE

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Delighted to see that Memphis Mae's is featured in Westchester Magazine; we've been talking about them for years!

Westchester Restaurants Go South (In The Culinary Sense) County chefs are rebelling against haute cuisine with down-home dishes.

Memphis Mae's: Trained at the Culinary Institute of America, Executive Chef Greg Gilbert has tinkered with these cultural nuances since he became a co-owner of Memphis Mae’s BBQ Bistro in Croton-on-Hudson...“It’s definitely a growing market. It’s simple food,” Gilbert says. “But not everyone has a smoker at home to smoke their brisket for 16 hours.” ...In late spring, Gilbert played with his New Orleans po’boy offerings, filling French baguettes with smoked pepper remoulade and fried chicken, shrimp, oysters, or catfish.

  1. Not bad for a community that some people say has no good businesses. We love MM. Best catfish around for miles.
