AND MORE FEES: CROTON 2 BEGIN CHARGING $250-$300 FOR REQUESTED WATER METER TESTING

Even though, OUR VILLAGE OFFICIALS HAVE ADMITTED "that they don't know what the cost of testing meters is, nor could they say how many requests are currently made by customers who believe they are being charged for more water than they are using."  You are encouraged to read the extensive front page article in the 6/4-6/10/15 edition of THE GAZETTE for the whole story.

  1. This is a very disturbing article and should be read by everyone but the paper is not online so you have to go out and get it. If you have that kind of money to burn well then maybe you don't care. I had to have my meter checked many years ago and it was wrong. Now I would think twice if I knew I had to pay to get it tested, the results fell within what they think is an acceptable margin of errors, and that's not right.
