SERVICES FOR ANGELO A. "SCOTCHIE" AGOSTA

We just received word that Angelo A. "Scotchie" Agosta a lifelong resident of Croton-on-Hudson passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013. Scotchie was a great guy who had lots of humorous insights into politics, life in Croton, and baseball.

The obituary is as follows:
He was born in Croton on January 9, 1925 to Rosario and Mary Agosta. He worked and retired from Metro North after 44 years of service. He was married on June 5, 1948 at St. Ann's Church in Ossining to the late Mary L. Agosta.

Scotchie was a humorous, fun loving man who was a "Die Hard" Yankee Fan and could be caught on "occasion" whistling a tune. Most of all he loved his family and friends and will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by two sons, Robert and his wife Susan and Paul and his wife Linda, his brother Joseph and his grandchildren, Justin, Alexis and Jennifer.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 5-8 pm at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 10:00 am also at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery in Ossining.

  1. A true loss, old Croton through and this, and one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet.
