As always, some wonderful finds, oldies but goodies, special requests and more.  Click on the photos and links.

First up, and very "putzable"(!), a great 1937 toy offered in a past auction at SeriousToyz.com -  Description follows:
"City Dairy Milk Horse Drawn Wagon", 1937, Rich Toys, 20", tin litho & painted wood w/ pull cord; complete / all original w/ only very light play wear, C9, among the nicest we’ve seen"

Next up, we were recently reminded of this free booklet, generously scanned by vintage Christmas enthusiast, Mark P...

HOW TO DECORATE YOUR HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

This decorating guide was given to consumers visiting the Sears Christmas decorating department and was published in October 1965. SEE THE 8 PAGE BOOKLET HERE.

And finally, we're big fans of setting a beautiful Christmas table---preferably with antique and vintage pieces.
One of our favorite holiday patterns is called Holly Berry and was made by Lefton.  Fostoria also made beautiful pieces. This table is set with both.

Again, click on the photos and links.

For those who would like to know more about Lefton, click here.

Marx Grand Central Station - Here's a beauty that's been around since pre-war days and remains a perennial favorite with collector's, the #2940 Grand Central Station. Keep scrolling down the page: http://toyconnect.blogspot.com/2012/03/marx-2940-grand-central-station.html
