A SPECIAL TREAT AT THE 2017 CROTON ARBORETUM GARDEN TOUR: THE HISTORIC METHODIST CAMPWOODS GROUNDS

And now a word about the upcoming Croton Arboretum Garden Tour--from their fb page

This year we have a special treat—an opportunity to see the charming homes and gardens of the historic Methodist Campwoods Grounds in Ossining (click on the photo). Said to be the oldest Methodist camp meeting in the United States, the site is now the secular home to 45 families who have converted turn-of-the-century gingerbread summer cottages into full-time homes. Tickets for the tour are still available. For more information and to order tickets call us at (914) 487-3830.

In the early 19th century, the Methodist congregations that followed John Wesley's Methodist theology created a permanent home for the annual celebration of an evangelical expression of worship in the woods of what was then called Sing Sing (today’s Ossining).
