WE LOVE TIKI CULTURE

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

With summer around the corner, our die-hard TIKI enthusiasts are clamoring for some inspiration! And here it is...

For those of you who don't know what Tiki culture is--it's a 20th-century theme used in Polynesian-style restaurants and clubs originally in the United States and then, to a lesser degree, around the world. Although inspired in part by tiki carvings and mythology, the connection is loose and stylized, being an American form and not a Polynesian fine art form. More history here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiki_culture

And now some fun--click on the photo for a pair of retro faux TIKI totems currently available at CROTON COUNTRY GARDENS.
