THE LIFE & TIMES OF CLIFFORD B. HARMON, 6/1, CROTON LIBRARY

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

COURTESY OF THE CROTON FREE LIBRARY (CROTONFREELIBRARY.ORG) AND CROTON FRIENDS OF HISTORY (CROTONFRIENDSOFHISTORY.ORG) : THE LIFE & TIMES OF CLIFFORD B. HARMON - Clifford B. Harmon was an innovative real estate developer, master salesman, internationally famous aviator and early movie mogul. Carl Oechsner and Marc Cheshire will tell the story of his fascinating life—from his youth in Lebanon, Ohio, to the development of Harmon, along the banks of the Croton River; to his feats of derring-do in balloons and bi-planes and his move to France, where he trained U.S. Army pilots, hobnobbed with rich expats and died in relative obscurity, surrounded by dozens of aviation trophies. Thursday, June 1, 7:00 p.m. at the Croton Free Library. Free and open to the public.
