& NOW A WORD ABOUT MOYDAN ART STUDIO, IN THE FORMER RAY'S GROCERY SPACE

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Have you heard...About Moydan Art Studio?

It's a studio and gallery founded by the artist Mike McKee and his wife, Croton native Martha Vanderpot McKee. It is located at 43 N. Riverside Ave., in the space formerly occupied by Ray’s Grocery (next door to The Tavern). Mike has illustrated several books on tai chi and chi gung and is the author of The Structure of a Masterpiece, a Step by Step Guide to Color and Composition. Mike and Martha are dedicated to providing a non-judgmental environment where children and adults of all skill levels can have fun and explore their creativity with the visual arts. They offer classes, sell paintings and provide design consultations. Check out their Facebook Page Moydan Art Studio or call 914-271-5742 for further information.

  1. that's really a great block and it's good to see all the space being utilized. it also makes me sad though because it is clear that we lost the real "village" when the highway came through. that one block shows you what could have been had the officials at the time, like other communities did, NOT bought into urban renewal. kind of like what the dreamers dream now about housing in harmon.
