ONCE AGAIN...A BIG EVERYTHING CROTON SHOUT-OUT TO CROTON'S ALL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

ONCE AGAIN...A BIG EVERYTHING CROTON SHOUT-OUT TO CROTON'S ALL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT:

FROM THEIR FB PAGE - (LAST NIGHT)
Tonight, members of our Firefighter Assist & Search Team conducted their monthly training, using the excavation trench behind Grand Street Firehouse. The 10 team members, and 4 Explorer Post 2089 members, reviewed firefighter rescue procedures in a confined, below-grade space. Reviewed also was the use of a Sked stretcher and our pre-rigged mechanical advantage rope system. The drill, while challenging, was an excellent review of why we train as often as we do for emergencies like these. (CLICK ON THE PHOTO.)
