CROTON NATIVE RICHARD PUSATERE MISSING AFTER EL FARO SANK, ADDITIONAL INFO

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

PLEASE KEEP THE FAMILY IN YOUR PRAYERS.

JOURNAL NEWS - A career at sea prepared Croton-on-Hudson native Richard Pusatere to survive disasters, including Hurricane Joaquin — which swallowed up the El Faro cargo ship carrying him and 32 other people last weekend. So his father, Frank Pusatere, along with family and friends, are clinging to hope as the Coast Guard searches for the 34-year-old in the Bahamas, where the 790-foot freighter is believed to have sunk in water that is 15,000 feet deep. A NOTE FROM THE CROTON FD FB PAGE
The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department is asking all of our followers to keep the hope alive and continue to pray for the safe return of Richard Pusatere. His father, Frank, is a member of our Washington Engine Company No. 2 (Croton Fire Department) and many of us here at the CFD have known Richard for many years.
Whether you're a religious person or not, we're asking for all of your support in praying for the entire crew of the "El Faro," especially our extended CFD family member, Richard Pusatere. Thank you.
