  1. I am so grateful for the Shakespeare Festival posts at your site. They represent a wonderful time in my life and in the village. it really is a shame we don't have anything like this any more. Budding actors were given an opportunity that costs money these days instead. I know times change but Croton lost something special when this festival ended.

    1. It's sad. In so many ways, that spirit lifted the village up. It spilled over into real public service and volunteerism everywhere. Thank God we still have things like the Lions, Rotary and volunteer fire department.
