Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
We've fallen behind with our new series here at EverythingCroton--THE VILLAGE QUILTER--but we're back--and we've been stockpiling great resources--and photographs--for your enjoyment. Today we once again share the latest quilt that came
our way from Croton quilting artisan Sandi R. It's called the "Savannah Star" quilt although the stars are often called "Jewish
stars"; it's a very old pattern. Click on the photo; we just love the colors and edging.
And click on the link below to see a photo gallery from Flickr called THE MODERN VINTAGE QUILT. This gallery is for all quilters who love to create quilts that evoke those
old and enduring heirloom quilts that our grandmothers made. https://www.flickr.com/groups/modern_vintage_quilts/pool/
And stay tuned for more.
"Little bits of fabric sewn into a quilt
Form a warm and loving blanket from which memories are built
And when you seek peace and comfort in the quiet of the night
It will keep you warm and snug until the morning's light"
~Poem by Sue Mullane
