Just a reminder that the Serioustoyz auction (formerly known as #56) is coming up---to the right, Topo Gigio! He'll be featured in the auction too.

For those who don't know,Topo Gigio was the lead character of a children's puppet show on Italian and Spanish television in the early 1960s. The character, created by artist Maria Perego debuted on Italian television in 1959. His popularity spread to the world after being featured on The Ed Sullivan Show.

And now more from SeriousToyz' Tom Miano http://everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2014/06/tom-miano-founder-of-serioustoyz-tapped.html

Topo is followed by a free offer from the 1913 Twentieth Century Farmer magazine--"A home for Dolly"-- a cardboard doll house beautifully lithographed in 6 colors!

  1. Topo was so innocent and charming. Compared to some of the tv children's characters today especially. I really don't understand Sponge Bob at all.
